Ireland’s dance community is full of artistry that too often goes unseen. Dance Awards Ireland exists to give it a single national stage, where the dancers, choreographers, teachers, schools and companies shaping the art are recognised and celebrated together, on one night, at the highest standard.

Ballet, contemporary, commercial, street, Irish dance, cultural dance and every form in between have a place on the same stage. Dance Awards Ireland brings different parts of the dance community together, recognising excellence wherever it is found.

Recognition should reach every part of Ireland.
In selected awards, dancers, teachers and schools are recognised within their regions, with regional winners progressing towards the overall all-island title. Alongside them, awards recognising artistic practice, professional achievement and contribution bring the wider dance community together on one national stage.

From young dancers beginning to make their mark to artists, choreographers and educators shaping the present, and those whose lifetime of work has helped shape the landscape itself, Dance Awards Ireland recognises the people behind the work.
